It is with great pleasure that I can announce that PESCO (Permanent Structured Co-operation) is coming to ArmA. We have been working with our allies to reduce the amount of needless duplication we find across NATO forces. We already have standardised ammunition - STANAG - and some collaboration on equipment, such as the Eurofighter and the F-35.
It is time to take this further, however. For too long have our weapon systems had mutually incompatible parts meaning that working with our continential allies has been less comfortable than it should be. It is madness that a small country such as the UK is going it alone in this regard.
I therefore take a great amount of pride in announcing that the 16AA MilSim Bde will from this day forwards be ditching the L85A2 and switching to the excellent FAMAS G2 weapon platform created by our dear French allies. After much consideration, it was decided that the obvious answer of switching to the M4 as the 42 Commando group have done would cause too much confusion compared to the relatively similar bullpup FAMAS with its neat integrated carrying handle.

The remainder of our home rotation will, of course, be taken up with courses on familiarising ourselves with this fantastic bit of kit.
