Ok I just bought the Witcher 2 a couple of days ago, since I wanted to try some thing I never played before. Now I bought it from steam, took a while to download etc.
After I installed it, the game didn’t launch up. So I validated the game files or something, appearently I was missing 9gb worth of files (wtf, just downloaded 16gb already!). So I downloaded these, went to instal it again.
It got a little bit further, but still no success and the game did not launch. I started over again, and the same amount of files was missing!
I just uninstalled/removed all the files and went for a complete redownload and instal. But anyone here has this game on steam and got any tips for me to get this working?
Because it’s really annoying to buy a game that then doesn’t launch. >_< I already tried the FAQ, it was worthless. Didn’t help at all.
Got it working after I reinstalled Steam (Yes I do have to download every game again lol) and checked my anti virus. Thansk for the suggestion Lager. Turned it off and it worked. Just about to play it now. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width=“20” height=“20”>
