This game got my attention. This is really pathetic that we need a kickstarter to get a tactical fps shooter for PC. In last few years biggest publishers threw at us dumbed down low quality console ports only.
Unfortunately dumbed down low quality console ports are where the market’s at. They know they’re going to make a lot of money off of them, so they churn them out in batches, hustle them past QA and get people to throw money at them. It’s a sorry state of affairs but at least there are people who believe in good quality games such as this and do attempt to make them.
And actually do make them, as we can see from this upcoming release. Preordered mine today, pretty excited (even though I have a 360 running GTA V right next to me /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width=“20” height=“20” />).
This game makes my brain hurt..
I honestly miss games like SWAT 4, Rainbox Six (Older ones)
And do believe there is room for these.
However, all I see from this game is an average shooter?
I see no abilities to communicate with my team mates?
I see no gadgets/grenades or the like.
All I see is some ‘decent’ AI in what looks like a simi-regular shooter?
I in basic see nothing that makes me want to sit down and try and figure out how to go about with dealing with the enemy.
Usually when watching videos from games like that, I do a quick run-down in my own head trying to figure out how I would of gone about it.
It just seems there is nothing that prevents you from just opening the door then start blasting.. There is nothing you can use to improve your odds or gain a tactical advantage either.
Open the door, shoot shit.
(Just re-watching the video.. I just noticed that most doors are already open as well, wtf.)

Is it just because all the players wear cop textures and the baddies wear baddie textures that people are hyped from it?
I don’t know.. Maybe I’m just over fed with alpha indie BS and just actually want full games now..

I played the alpha and yes - there are no working doors (that may have changed). There are grenades/flashbangs, and they worked well. The animations are terrible, the ragdoll is terrible, the holosights are god-awful and yet I still really enjoyed playing it. The lethality of the weapons makes the strategy of “open door, shoot shit” pants. It would be nice if there was more flexibility - the lack of diverse insertion options and the terrible briefings (not a single planning map existed when I played) are definitely downers. So yes, the game could be better and more polished in many ways - but it still feels very different to any game that’s come out in the last 5 years or so and it is ultimately still fun.
As this is out tomorrow who’s up for a game tomorrow around 7pm GMT? I do not know about the situation with their servers so if everyone has Hamachi as a back up! Just incase.
Anyone yet to get this? If I can find 3 other people who still need it for tomorrow then we can split a 4-pack.
