One thing that struck me was when we (OPFOR) were running and bombing the ships, was that it felt very “Falklands” running into the bay while the troops are on the ground mostly helpless, and seeing a LOAD of tracer coming from the ships. I’d like to do the same sort of thing from a ground perspective at some point.

I agree with Willis , whilst me & lee were sorting supplies I really thought I was in Falklands except no Casuality from the Ships and no Ships sank in the bay!

Q: Can you actually sink ships in ArmA 2?

Have to say in real life I highly doubt that many jets would have got close…

In real life the ships would have warned us you were coming the moment you took off, and engaged you long before we on the ground would have seen you…

These “In real life” discussions taking over the gallery threads are becoming to much at this stage.

If you wish to discuss Arma VS real life, you are welcome to do so in a dedicated thread, let’s try and keep the gallery threads for images, video and quick comments to those.

Deep discussions should go else where as stated.

Images not related to the OPs are also not welcome here.

Don’t want to escalate this thread but how about we reserve the ‘gallery’ for images and videos and not allow comments (or maybe just the simple little ones)? It’s always the same old story. A couple of people put up screenshots/videos to start the thread off, one or two people say how nice they look and then it turns into a massive discussion with a few cheesy memes thrown in now and again. Maybe we should have another area where we can discuss the actual mission?

We already do - The Barracks, individual Section areas, and the individual Platoon Messes.

The vehicles that you can ‘drive’ certainly, but the ones that are just models depends entirely on how well they’ve been made. The author would have had to define an armour/health rating and put in damage models, textures etc (at the end of the day, it’s the same as an ArmA house).

Sound may still be a bit low. I think it’s Wyvern IV and forward that I’ve tried to adjust sound levels a bit. Wait out for those in their own threads. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width=“20” height=“20” />
