SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS


An original version of Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead 1.50-1.58 or Arma 2: Reinforcements.

HOW TO INSTALL THE PATCH


  • Run the patch exe to apply the patch setup automatically.

  • It will install all content of the patch to the folder with your Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead installation.

  • Please note that it is not possible to rollback to a previous version after the installation of this patch, only a full reinstall of the game is possible, if you want to keep your previous version you may want to backup the entire game installation folder before applying this patch.

  • NOTE: This patch will also update your:

  • ARMA 2 1.05 to 1.09.

  • ARMA 2 BAF 1.00 to 1.02 if necessary.

  • ARMA 2 PMC 1.00 to 1.01 if necessary.

This patch will also (supposidly) work with STEAM users, although it’s been recommended to WAIT until the STEAM platform updates you automatically.

DO NOT INSTALL IT or Harlow brings his sledgehammer.

I think we get all new tools (game update, ACE, ACRE) before new campaign, but these have to be tested first.

I’ve updated the Private Servers (#1 & #2) with the latest ‘Official’ BIS Patch, so I would probably say yes (seeing that the STEAM users will get auto-updated in any case; once its pushed out onto the STEAM platform).

I have yet to check if it’ll cause any issues with ACRE/ACE etc (I suspect we’ll have to update the ‘@Jayarma2lib’ mod) but we’ll get to that hurdle as and when.

After installing the patch and running the game; if asked if you want to update ‘@Jayarma2lib’, just select ‘YES’!

Yep - it’s a green light. BIS patching is always notorious - need to go with the flow on it.

Great! Are we going to update ACRE too? I’m thinking here about 1.2.6.317.

I joined our server right after patching, no problems. ACE is working, hard to say about ACRE.

I believe we’re not updating just yet as there is some behind-the-scenes work that needs to be completed (moving to a new addonsync system as the old one can’t be maintained - I’ll work with Harlow on getting something setup soon’ish’)

Is BIS trying to tell us they fixed the AI doesnt drive over bridges’ bug that has been festering our games for a decade??

Patch exceuted, Jay2 updated, game running fine/tested.

I’ve been updating to make sure everything is sorted for tomorrows Ex. But can not log onto Private Server 1 or 2. As it is is running v1.59. I am told that steam has not updated from 1.57.

Is it difficult to push one of the servers back to v1.57 … for testing to see if the game works (ie ACRE, YOMA etc)?

Wouldn’t be that easier for you to instal patch manually?

Look mate, I know that we are supposed to be using alternative energy sources, but I think Electricity is a much better option than old fashioned Steam power!!

I thought STEAM would have updated by now myself, which just adds another annoyance to my list of issues with BIS and STEAM - WTF can’t they just get it right 1st time - They really make the game AND STEAM look BAD!

Anyway, am drunk and annoyed (as I logged on to see if STEAM would update ARMA - Looks like I’ll have to manually patch the game tomorrow if it doesn’t auto-update)

I will NOT install the patch manually.

That should teach us to wait with updating our server until the steam patch is released.

Just like it was our call to do it this way because in the past the Steam patch followed (shit, sometimes it preceeded) the patch release by a day, two at the very most.

It takes time to patch a server and to make sure everythings working properly in mods and missions.

But you know what - I bet if we had waited there’d be complaints about that as well.

Especially if it got to close to Sunday Op or Wednesday Op or whatever.
